Safeguarding

Safeguarding is a feature. Not a policy.

Most apps put safeguarding in a footer link. We built it into the architecture. These aren't toggles you have to remember to set — they're how the product works.

Eight things, by default

What's on. Always. For every team.

01

Coach-verified accounts

Every coach signs up through their club. Approval and Working With Children Check reference required.

02

No adult-to-child DMs

Architecturally impossible. Not a setting — a platform rule. There's no DM button to find.

03

Three fixed channels

Players. Parents. Everyone. Names, colours and audience are locked. You can't create new ones.

04

Full audit trail

Every message retained, searchable and read-only for the club's safeguarding officer. Nothing deletable after the fact.

05

Photo consent register

Set per player by parents. Enforced automatically. A 'No' kid never appears in a public post.

06

Parent controls for under-13s

Weekly activity summary. Restrict a child's channel participation to read-only at any time.

07

No ads. No tracking.

We make money from Player Pro and Club tiers. Zero behavioural tracking in kid sessions.

08

Compliance aligned

COPPA, the UK Children's Code, the Australian Privacy Act + 2024 Online Safety Amendment, and eSafety Safety by Design.

A real scenario

A safeguarding incident is raised.

Old way: screenshots, group-chat archaeology, gaps. New way: two clicks.

01

Concern raised

Parent flags a worry to the club's safeguarding officer.

02

Audit log opened

Officer pulls the past month of the Players channel. Read-only. Complete.

03

Evidence preserved

Nothing was ever deleted. Nothing happened in a private DM. Investigation runs on facts.

Safer than WhatsApp. Every time.
